Modern Atheists Are PROOF That The Bible Is Accurate And Prophecy Is Real

Now, THERE’S a title that would disturb our atheist friends!  Of all the outrageous allegations to say–the one group of people on earth whose identity is wrapped up in the dogma of no supreme being–accused of being “proof” of his existence?  Sorry to disappoint you atheists, but yes absolutely.  You are 100% living proof of his existence and 100% proof of the fulfillment of prophecy.  How can this possibly be true?

First let me pose a few questions.  Have atheists always existed?  If so, has the definition of the word “atheist” ever been different than today’s definition?  The answer to the first question is no but the answer to the other is yes.  To understand the origin of this “belief” we need to look at the history of atheism and how its meaning evolved over the centuries.  (For simplicity, much of this post will use the expression “God” or “god”, as that’s the language of this argument, even though it is inarguable that these are improper renderings of Elohim, Yahweh or Yahshua.)

Today, the term “atheism”, or non-theism, is the lack of belief in the existence of God or gods.  It may include the outright rejection of any kind of theism or any specific God or gods.  It may also be correct to define today’s atheist as one who believes that man can explain the mysteries of the universe and can discover appropriate moral codes to live by without the aid of God or holy scriptures.  Other atheists may just have a more passive lack of belief in the existence of gods, due to their own ignorance or apathy.  But atheism wasn’t always defined this way.

For over 5,500 years since the creation of Adam, all civilizations in every country on earth believed in a supreme being or multiple “gods”.  Regardless of the nature of that belief, virtually all mankind accepted for a fact that a higher power remained in control over individual’s lives and their nations.  Originally, if a person came to visit their country from some other far-distant land, that visitor probably would not share the same deity belief of the native citizens of the land he was visiting.  His beliefs might be completely different.

If a British national, whose faith was that of the Church of England, came to visit India, where the majority faith is Hindu, the people of India would have correctly called the British person an “a-theist”, or a person whose spiritual beliefs differed from their own.  In this example, both the Indians and the British visitor believed in a supreme being, but they did not believe in the same supreme being.  If the Hindu traveled to England, while there, he would be considered an “atheist” toward the Church of England.  Originally, this word conveyed a belief that ran contrary to the accepted belief in other countries, but it did not mean a total rejection that such a supreme being existed at all.

Going back even further, in the 5th century B.C.E., the Greek word άθεος, or “atheos” meant “without god”, but it did not mean there is NO god.  The root of this Greek word simply meant mere impiety, not a denial of the gods.  Centuries later, after the time of Yahshua, if there were religious debates between Christians and Hellenists, if either side accused the other of  being “atheist”, it was almost always an expression used as a pejorative attack on the other.  Similarly, the Romans would have considered the early Christians as “atheists” because they did not worship pagan Roman gods.  You could hardly say that early Christians were atheists, in the way we define this term today.  They would have been the furthest thing from it.

Early proponents of atheism often held onto spiritual beliefs which would disqualify them from our modern definition of this word.  Many people believed in the existence of such things as immortal souls, life after death, ghosts or other supernatural powers but they maintained their belief that there was no God or gods because there was no proof of it.  Similarly, their view of Satan fell into this same category–that he was just a mythological figure, and as nonexistent as God.

For many centuries, some cultures considered it a crime if you were an atheist in their country, often punishable by imprisonment or death.  So, for many years, the taboo belief that was held by atheists was kept close to the chest and spoken of only in whispers.  All advocates of atheism were always considered a fringe element of society, not associated in any way with mainstream conventional thought.

But by the mid 16th century, France coined the term “atheism” and this radical belief emerged as a reaction to the intellectual and religious changes of the Age of Enlightenment and the Reformation.  It was at that time that this new wave of thinking had begun to abandon the belief in a supreme being, so the citizenry coined this expression as an insult to this controversial idea being put forward by others.  Nobody wanted to be accused of being an atheist.  It had a very negative stigma attached to it.

Atheism continued to remain far outside of popular beliefs but it continued gathering steam and by the late 18th century, it was losing its stigma and was no longer considered a belief that required denial.  It was evolving into a position that was openly avowed by some.  Finally, the French Revolution of 1789 thrust atheistic thought into many influential people, including nobility, and eventually spawned such new movements as Rationalism, Freethought and Liberalism.  Until the introduction of atheism into our culture–where it was still not embraced (but it wasn’t outright rejected either)–these new belief systems had remained underground.  But, now with this component of atheism, it gave voice to a wave of new political movements, conceived by radicals, but none were based upon the millennia of human experience and knowledge of what actually works in governing the affairs of men.

As this movement continued to attract followers, it formed the foundation of the modern Progressive movement in the late 1800’s and really gained traction with Charles Darwin’s “The Origin Of Species” in 1859.  These ideas–none of which were American-born concepts–soon spilled onto our shores in the early 20th century.  For over 100 years, those who professed to be atheists have grown exponentially, to the point where today, this belief system, for the first time in all of human experience, is no longer considered a radical or fringe concept.  To the contrary, it is so proudly embraced by its advocates that those who dare challenge it as a fact are themselves called the unenlightened ones.  The entire table has been flipped.  What was once secret, taboo, underground and only spoken of in a whisper, is now loudly and proudly embraced by the open-minded and brilliant thinkers of our time.

Over 5,900 years of human experience had taught man, through thought, reason and knowledge, the most effective ways to live and the most logical explanations for how to have productive and fulfilling lives on earth.  Suddenly, all of those years are now completely rejected by these new movements whose foundations are based on atheism.  Today, for the first time, these people are proud to publicly state that “there is no god”.  And by doing so, have completely validated the prophecies written by King David in the book of Psalms.  In fact, whenever the Bible wants to drive a point home to emphasize its importance, it repeats its message a second or third time.

King David wanted to drive this point home so strongly, he actually re-wrote, almost word-for-word, the exact same prophecy in two chapters, both found in the book of Psalms.

Psalm 14–“The fool hath said in his heart, THERE IS NO ELOHIM. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.  2 Yahweh looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek Elohim.  They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  Have all the workers of iniquity NO KNOWLEDGE? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon Yahweh.  There were they in great fear: for Elohim is in the generation of the righteous.  Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.  Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when Yahweh bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”

Re-read verse 7 for a very important point.  This entire thought, in chapter 14, pertains ONLY to the time when Yahweh brought back the captivity of his people BACK to their ancestral homeland, Israel.  This event occurred on May 14, 1948.  Therefore, these words–the fool says in his heart “there is no god”–are words that apply to only one generation in history.  It is the one we are living in today, proven by both the fact that Israel IS now back in their original land and ATHEISTS proudly proclaim that there is no god.

But as I said, King David wanted to drive this point home with greater emphasis, so this is what he wrote in chapter 53.

Psalm 53–“The fool hath said in his heart, THERE IS NO ELOHIM. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.  2Elohim looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek Elohim.  Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.  Have the workers of iniquity NO KNOWLEDGE? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon Elohim.  There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for Elohim hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because Elohim hath despised them.  Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Elohim bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”

What nowadays passes for “knowledge” among the shakers and movers of man’s advancement, Yahweh says is no knowledge at all.  And any person who says that there is no Elohim, Yahwah calls a FOOL.

It’s especially interesting to identify the root Hebrew origin of the word “fool” or נָבָל.  The closest English equivalent is “nabal”, literally meaning decadent one, wicked, impious or vile person.  Strong’s Concordance amplifies the definition even clearer: “foolish, senseless, especially of the man who has no perception of ethical and religious claims, and with collateral idea of ignoble, disgraceful; — absolute”.

With this understanding, we can now see why those who believe in the various modern movements, which all have their roots in atheism, are all the groups in society which embrace the least moral, the least wholesome and most perverted lifestyles ever known.  These “FOOLS” that King David had foretold are those people living among us today whose unapologetic beliefs are nothing less than a validation that the Bible is accurate and it spoke of these people who would be living in this generation, but was written over 3,000 years ago.

Naturally, the atheists and fools today would probably just say “good guess”.

Mmm hmmm.
