On this blog, I have been telling my readers for years that Iran will soon end its antagonistic and threatening relationship with Israel and will become its most important friend and ally–eventually joining its other Middle Eastern neighbors–who will insist on reconstructing the 3rd Temple in Jerusalem. That statement seems so far-fetched, it requires nice men in white coats to calmly escort me to a room with soft padded walls where I cannot continue to do personal harm to myself. At least, that’s the most common response I’ve received from those I’ve shared this fact with over the years. They love me…but they still think I’ve lost my mind. There is NO WAY that Iran would ever take on this role!
I’ve also been writing about the important role that modern day “Assyria”, or the nation-without-a-nation, the Kurds, is where the “King of the North” will emerge, and from where the Anti-Messiah will come. Both nations play a vital role in upcoming prophetic events. Now here in one news story, we have both the Kurds and the Iraqi representatives expressing their determination to unite with Israel and begin the process of establishing normalized relationships with each nation! To add a degree of dramatic effect, they chose to have this joint meeting in HEWLÊR-Erbil, a northern area of Iraq where Iran is influential. If THIS story doesn’t send chills up your back, you better check your pulse.
From the article: “We demand full diplomatic relations with the State of Israel… and a new policy of normalization based on people-to-people relations with the citizens of that country”.
It was not long after the 70-years of indignation ended that four other Arab nations quickly formed diplomatic ties with Israel, as I wrote about here. Iraq would become the 5th new nation to accept Israel as a peaceful neighbor in the last couple years and the 7th Arab nation overall to do so, joining Jordan and Egypt as the other two. Those first two alliances occurred in the first 70 years of Israel’s modern existence. The next 4 (and now maybe 5) will have happened in barely 3-4 years time, proving the accuracy of Biblical prophecy right down to the year and month.
And even though this article does not directly cite any similar push for normalization between Israel and Iran, the fact that this meeting was held in the Kurdish capital with such proximity to Iran was a bold step in that direction. Iraqi “leaders” voiced their opposition to this meeting, calling it illegal. However, this Kurdish region of Iraq already considers itself as an autonomous region with their own unique government, currency, and language. Aside from those distinctions, the Kurds are the proud genealogy of one of the largest world empires to have ever existed–the Assyrians. So, their lineage goes back thousands of years. Ignoring cries of opposition from the official nation of Iraq’s leaders was an expected consequence of this meeting.
What makes this news especially interesting is that the Bible identifies ancient Assyria, a.k.a.: Kurdistan, as the prophesied King of the North as described in the book of Daniel. That former world empire will emerge once again “in the end of years”, a description of THE crucial generation that will be witnesses to nearly 90% of all prophesies being fulfilled–OUR generation. On several earlier posts, I’ve proved that statement to be true, using only the Bible as my source, such as this article here, which precisely identifies the generation in the end of years to be us today. THIS generation began in September, 1998 and will last exactly 33 1/2 years, mirroring the human lifetime of Yahshua in the 1st century A.D. You can do the math. Adding to the excitement is the fact that the vast majority of all prophesies will be fulfilled in the final 7 years prior to his return.
Where does the Bible identify this supposed “king of the north”? You can find its description in several places, but with the greatest detail in the book of Daniel.
Dan. 11:6–“And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.”
At first glance, this prophecy only describes a vague connection between a certain king of the south and king of the north. How can I be so certain it’s pinpointing modern day Iraq? Easy–the previous book of Ezekiel already made that clear:
Eze. 26:7–“For thus saith the Lord Yahweh; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus [modern day Tyre, Lebanon] Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.”
Remember, King Solomon told us the way to understand scripture is by knowing that historic events will repeat themselves in the future–and especially in the latter days:
Eccl. 1:9–“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
Therefore, when Ezekiel described the previous specific king of the north as King Nebuchadrezzar [usually spelled “Nebuchadnezzar”] and his kingdom was ancient Babylon, or modern day Iraq, we can know that the prophesied king of the north will also come out of this same region. Why am I so certain that this is the case? Couldn’t the upcoming king of the north come from some other northern country such as Germany, Russia or China? Until this moment, I’m not sure why I hadn’t made it clear of exactly how I am certain, but it all comes down to a rock solid fact of all prophecy that isn’t common knowledge.
100% of all prophecy involves LAND rather than the specific location(s) of those ancient inhabitants who may now reside in areas of the world which are different than their ancestors from thousands of years ago. This discovery ran contrary to the bedrock beliefs that I used to hold…when they were not actually “my” beliefs. They were the teachings of my previous church which I accepted as the truth. At that time, our church doctrine believed that prophecy involved the original 12 tribes of Israel so they used all kinds of tools to attempt to pinpoint the locations of each tribe, which would allow them to match various prophesies with those modern nations. I’ve long since forgotten the tribe/nation identities other than the United States and England were alleged to be the modern manifestations of the tribes of Ephraim and Mannaseh. What a worthless pursuit. This entire effort was based upon what people thought and ignored what the Bible actually said about this subject. And it’s descriptions are plentiful:
Jer. 3:18–“In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.”
Eze. 22:16–“And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Yahweh.”
Eze. 33:24–“Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.”
Isa. 14:25–“That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.”
Jer. 2:7–“And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.” In this case, the word “heritage” comes from the Hebrew word ירוש rendered “allotment” or “allotted ones”. Once again, reinforcing the importance of LAND as the focus of prophecy.
Eze. 38:16–“And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.”
Jer. 28:6–“Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so: Yahweh perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.” [Of course, “this place” is the future 3rd Temple to be built in Jerusalem.]
Jer. 30:3–“For, lo, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Yahweh: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.” [Since Israel DID return to her former home on May 14, 1948, this latter day event is no longer prophecy. It is history.]
Jer. 48:47–“Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith Yahweh. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.”
Joel 3:1–“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,” [A clear reference to both the nation of Israel and the city of Jerusalem, it’s revered capital.]
We are witnessing in real time, the alignment of the King of the North beginning to unite with Israel in order to soon begin its prophetic destiny–to introduce the world to the Anti-Messiah, the False Prophet and the Beast–who’ll fraudulently rule the entire world for a few years until our actual Messiah, Yahshua Anointed arrives on the world stage once again and for the second time will save us all when he begins his rightful place as the legitimate person to sit on his throne in the Temple.
All of these events will occur within the next 10 years. How’s that for an attention-grabber?
